Cartagena, Colombia

Last week I took a vacation with my family. We went on a cruise  to 4 different ports in the Caribbean and had a GREAT time. The ship was great, we made lost of new friends mostly form Chile, Argentina and Brazil.  Of course part of my vacation was taking tons of pictures of the new places we visited, so I will be sharing photos by port.

Our first stop was Cartagena, Colombia. Cartagena is a very nice city where modern and old mix everywhere you turn. It reminded me a lot of Panama. The old city is all surrounded by a wall, hence its name of La Ciudad Amurallada. The city is all full of colors and textures, amazing doors, balconies and windows. And also tin sculptures of all sorts. We walked through the old city and afterwards went for a ride through the modern city. The only thing that was really annoying was all the people trying to sell you anything and everything! even though we told them we were not interested in buying, they started to follow us and giving the kids the products so we had to pay for them. Really annoying:(, it got a point where the kids didn’t want to be there anymore. Too sad because we were really enjoying the sightseeing and the shooting.

Here are a few of my favorite photos.

The ship, Grandeur of the Seas. awesome trip but the tripulation was out of this world, almost all of them.

These first ones show the city as we arrived to the port. I love the contrast between new and old.

This statue greeted us as we approached the dock.

Here are a few of the Old City o Ciudad Amurallada and some interesting things that caught my attention during our walk.

A view of the ship from the dock.

My boys back on the ship

Bye Bye Cartagena! Hope to see you again soon.

The Moon Last Night!

What a beautiful night last night. The moon was espectacular. Here are a couple snaps I did of it.

C & S: Engaged!

Last weekend I went out with this super fun couple to capture some photos of their engagement.  The day started and before we could reach our first location it started raining, did I said raining? POURING is a better word to describe it.

But this is Panama so we just waited patiently until the rain left us and the sun started shinning.

We went to several locations but S took us to the best one ever.  I just loved that little corner full of interesting places to shoot. The day ended at the hotel where S proposed, what a beautiful and romantic place!

Well i am sure C wants to see some pictures instead of reading what I have to say LOL!

Here are a few of my fave so far, there are A LOT of photos.
